The Framers

We recently worked with the very talented Lucy McLauchlan, framing and building boxes for her recent solo show at Lazarides in London, here’s a few pics from the show.

It’s been a while but finally the newly refurbished Midlands Art Centre is about to re-open it’s doors. We’ve just finished framing a selection of work for it’s opening exhibition Plug in.  With a selection established local Photographers alongside sound and visual Artists, exploring the rich and diverse history and future cultural direction of our fair city. Plus now the weather is getting nice what better excuse to get down the park.

We’ve just finished framing this exhibition of photographs by Simon Larbalestier, the photographer for the Pixies, who worked with the iconic Vaughan Oliver . The show is at the brilliant snap gallery’s new London premises, was a bit excited about this one as i’m a Pixies fan! If you’re in London check it out.

Here are some examples of a job we did with an interior designer for an exclusive Hotel in Harrogate.  We Framed and installed all the artwork which where Photographs commissioned specially for the hotel.

Because of our gallery (studio4) and links with the street art/alternative illustration scene we regularly frame prints and pieces by infamous artists such as Banksy. Here is an original piece by Banksy that we (very carefully) framed from a section of wall removed from a warehouse in LA.  Painted at the time of his Barely Legal exhibition in 2006, which featured the famous elephant in the room installation.

We regularly Frame Football shirts and other sports memorabilia, there are various finishes and techniques for framing shirts, here’s a few examples of some we’ve done both for private clients, charity events and clubs.
